Of course Slackware 2.0.0 is pretty old - we use 3.5 with kernel 2.0.34
and everything works fine - they just came out with 3.6. Why not get it -
it's pretty cheap. Also, that old Slackware will leave you open to some
pretty severe security problems and root compromises.
