Re: CommonAdjust Help Please (Solution)
****** message to minivend-users from Ceres <jfrye@ehg.net> ******
Rob,
Are you just wanting certain items to have quantity price breaks? If
so, try CommonAdjust. I use it in the following way to give quantity
price breaks to a few items.
First I set up my catalog.cfg with:
CommonAdjust set_in_products_price
and
#PriceField no_price
This sets CommonAdjust extended pricing on. But, since it is a non valid
CommonAdjust string it will look in the products database price field
for a valid string. Also, comment out the price field because it will
enable the CommonAdjust scheme for ALL products.
Then, in the products database price field, for each item that gets a
qty price break I place a string like:
pricing:q1,q6, ;16.90
This is a valid CommonAdjust string which looks in the pricing database
for qty 1 and 6 for price information. It also sets up a fallback price
when no price information exits for a given qty.
Finally, the pricing database lists all the item codes that price breaks
are given on and the corresponding price.
code q4 q6
110B 14.40
110G 14.40
140B 16.40
This is working for me on my development site
com1.ehg.net/cgi-bin/hgdev. Go to the workpapers section to see it.
Have Fun!
