Re: MTML/MV editor WAS: How to edit a MV page, was <no subject>

HomeSite 4.0 is an editor that you should at least try out for editing MV. You can get a 30 day trial at their web site (www.allaire.com). It does not mess with your code, and if you have IE4.0 or greater installed it provides a browser-like design view of your code. Nice color coding, auto-complete selection for recognized tags (HTML, CF, ASP, others, plus you can add your own) and some of their features (like Replace) are excellent. I use it in conjunction with FP98 on my projects. (No, I don't work for Allaire <g>)

Subject: Re: How to edit a MV page, was <no subject>

As for using FrontPage or any other HTML editor, I'll throw this question out to the rest of the mail list.  "Has anyone had any success editing MV html with HTML editors?"  I've had to redo so many pages after they were edited with a HTML editor that I have banned anything but plain-text editors like 'notepad' and 'vi' for editing pages.  Is this the general consensus?

Cheers,
Gerard
