Why won't SQL products import?
****** message to minivend-users from Chris Powell <helios@brickandivy.com> ******
Hmmm, this one is really getting me down. It _used_ to work.
My SQL products database (using Solid) used to interface just fine with
Minivend. I'd add products to the SQL database, and Minivend would
properly see them and import them into its products.asc file --
everything would work.
Now, for whatever reason (almost certainly human error on my part) this
mechanism is broken. At some point I must have disturbed a setting in
the configuration, because now the products.asc file no longer seems to
refresh and get the new products added on the SQL end. Here are my
relevant catalog.cfg lines:
Database products products.asc SQL
Database products DSN DBI:Solid:upipe
SOLIDMTNS
Database products USER xyz
Database products PASS 123
Database products KEY sku
Database products ChopBlanks 1
Could someone offer a suggestion how I managed to break this
funcitonality? I see nothing in the logs to suggest error conditions.
In fact, the Solid logs clearly show Minivend successfully logging into
the databse.
How do I get Minivend to properly create/update the products.asc file
like it used to?
Best regards,
Chris Powell
