How do I get unique search results?
****** message to minivend-users from "JR" <jr@mail.org> ******
Hi
MV 3.11 / Linux.
Could anyone please tell me the way to get unique search results?
I simply want to read (presumably using [loop]) the CATEGORY field of the
database, and assemble a list of all the categories, so that people can do a
one-click search of everything in each category.
No problem getting the list, but it always contains EVERY category field
entry - like
New Titles
New Titles
New Titles
Classic
Classic
etc.
And of course I want to actually display just
New Titles
Classic
I have tried every combination I can think of for the un (mv_unique)
command, but simply cannot get anything to make any difference.
Here's the sort of thing I've tried without success (list builds fine, but
sort not reliable and no unique):
[loop search="se=Classic/sf=category/rf=code,category/tf=category/un=yes"]
[loop-field category]
[/loop]
Could someone please let me know what would work?
Many thanks
