Hi List:
    Is there a way that I can bypass having a user
manually log in, if for instance, I already have validated them via another
way (ie. external cookie from an external CGI script); however; still
have the userdb functions work for updating the userdb.gdbm file? See below
for a schematic of what I am trying to do...

    CGI Script database login ---> MV browsing ---> MV checkout ---> MV save end user information.

    I need somewhere, either in the first entry of the MV system, or before the checkout page, to essentially log in the user, so when they get to the end, their information will be pre-loaded into the checkout form along with saving changes to the DB.  Any hints?
