Re: Installing MV3.X on NFS loaded ISP virtual doamin ?

****** message to minivend-users from "ACIS Consulting Inc." <efrem@acisconsulting.com> ******

Hi Stafan Joachim and All;
Thanks for your input. I guess I will take the plunge to work through the install
problems.

I restarted the install process from scratch this morning: No luck.

The initial minivend installation seems to work, but I suspect is using incorrect
localhost information(?),

I see "Welcome to minivend !" you can install the catalog at this time ...or you can try
the new interface
to the makecat program at:
http://myISPshellservername.myISP.net:7786/mv_admin <<==?? is this right ? should it not
point to
my virtual domain ? I tried accessing mv-admin at this url using my browser, I got the
login dialog but aborted saying no data (maybe becuase I did not have a catalog configured
at the time)

If I proceed start the minivend server, (without any catalogs created) it seems to
start ok ! It gives me the process ID.
Now upon creation of the catalog in INET mode connection, I am unable to bin/restart the
server. It does find the minivend PID but says minivend is not responding to the kill
command.

PS, looking into the minivend error.log it says accepting connections from localhost
127\.0\.0\.1
(is this working as designed ?)

- - - [10/May/1999:11:56:35 -0400] - - MiniVend V3.12

Help !

Thanks
