Yes, I do know that this could be misused and contribute to SPAM. That is not my intent since the many of the customers we work with have zero tolerance for it, but I'm attempting to deal with a quality of service.
I do know that NS often defaults to sending the person's e-mail address as an anonymous FTP password, but I really don't want to go that route.
Thanks Jason.

That would be a major security hole... creating mass spam! :-) I remember way back when Mosaic was around there was an enviroment variable $ENV{BROWSER_EMAIL} or something like that... its not around anymore though. I'd suggest using a cookie, and then have the user create an account, cacheing the users email address...Jason Korkin.

****** message to minivend-users from Barry Treahy <treahy@mmaz.com> ******Is there anything in the IE & NS DOM where using MV and/or Jscript &
JavaScript I can pickout the persons e-mail address? We provide on-line
requests for catalogs and ordering having that address to be able to
contact the individual at a later time would be nice (ie. we had a
malfunction where a couple visitors received incorrect information and
it would be nice to be able to correct that...)Barry
