Check permissions first. This is covered in the docs. I also noticed that
you said you must start your server using /cgi-dir/mvend/bin/start. This
indicates that you may have installed Minivend into your web server's
cgi-bin directory. Minivend is usually installed in a directory totally
separate from your web server's document directory, typically in
/home/minivend or /home/user/minivend.
