SET might get thought for MiniVend 4, but as far as almost everyone in
the US is concerned, it isn't even on the map. I do realize that it has
been adopted more in Europe, but even then we don't get many inquiries
about it. Something like one a year for the past 3 years.

I spent a bunch of time trying to study SET when it was first proposed
over 3 years ago, and was quite excited with the prospect of supporting
something sponsored by Visa and MC. It looked like that was the horse to
back instead of the ubiquitous "digital cash" solutions which I didn't
think would go anywhere. This was the first draft, and as I studied it,
I became convinced it was a bunch of incomprehensible gobbledy-gook with
no central design coherence. (They later totally re-did it.) I took a
wait and see attitude, and I am still waiting to see. 8-)

That being said, SET does appear to be coming to life a bit. Yet until
I see a lot more activity I am not going to do anything.
