Hardware and Performance
Hello, fellow MiniVendors !
I'm discussing with a customer a new MiniVend project. It includes
a dedicated server, as operating system I'm planning to use Linux.
My suggestion was to use a Dual-Pentium with SCSI disks. Has anyone
experience with MiniVend servers ? Any comments are welcome.
The next question is about performance. Is here anyone with a
busy MiniVend server who can tell me which computer he uses and
how many pages are served every day ? I think to use text databases
are enough, each month 3.000 new products will be added to the shop.
