Let's say you're using the simple demo.
I used MySql since the first time. If you create a suitable database
called "simple" with the table "products" and in catalog.cfg you
specify that you use MySql (there are sample lines to be used),
then Minivend, at next boot, will fill tha database with what it
finds in products.asc and use MySql.

Notice that:
- in catalog.cfg you must specify user and password to access MySql
- though MiniVend updates products, locale, and other ones, I do not know
if/how it fills "shipping". I had problems with that, so many that I was
forced to go on using shipping.asc
- you must reboot MiniVend and then stop it. Then change catalog.cfg:
NoImport products
and reboot again.
If you do not change the catalog.cfg, you loose the updates in MySql
because MiniVend replace the content with that of the original
products.asc every time...

I use Minivend 3.11, MySql ...
