expire

Hello all,

  Even though I have been running expireall every night my sessing.gdbm
file grew to in excess of 13meg. When I deleted it and restarted
the server, I was pleasantly suprised to find out that my server
which was hanging about 4 times a day, has now been up for 4 days!
hooray! The question is why isn't expireall working? From the 
command line I have also tried 'expire -c mlcatalog' however the size
does not change, staying at 84464...and slowly growing.
