The terms in question are two-letter abbreviations for Minivend search
variables, which allow you to specify serach criteria and parameters for
the results to be returned. For example, "sf" is short for
"mv_search_field", which you use to specify the data field to perform the
search on. "scan" is a type of search command. Read through the major
sections titled THE SEARCH ENGINE in the Minivend docs and hopefully all
will be revealed.
