Even if you define multiple databases, by default products.asc is the only
database known to contain product information, so [item-field] and friends
only look in that file.  Check the docs for the "ProductFiles" directive,
e.g.:
   ProductFiles products,videogames

Search for: Match: Format: Sort by:
