need help with error durring installation on Linux system.

Hello,

I have a problem with installing minivend. I hope this is the right
mailinglist to ask for help in this case.

my system :  SuSE Linux 6.0 (i386) - Kernel 2.0.36 / latest version of
minivend

my problem :  When I try to install install minivend by running ./configure
the Installation process stops
                      after a  while with the following error message :

                         not communicating with server
                         socket link..make : ***[test_dynamic] Error 29

Is there anything important I forgot to configure before I run the
configurationscript ?

please give me a hint.
