UNIX vs. INET mode, port 7786, and mv_admin
Hello,
I just installed Minivend 3.14-3 on RedHat 6.0, Apache 1.3.9 and set up the
'simple' catalog.
I wanted to run Minivend server in UNIX mode (more secure), but it looks
like if I run it in UNIX-domain mode I cannot access
http://myserver:7786/mv_admin
Is this normal or is something wrong with my setup?
I then started the server in both INET and UNIX modes in order to get to
mv_admin, but I get the 'Document Contains No Data' error and I see this in
VENDROOT/error.log:
- - - [14/October/1999:13:55:14 -0400] - - START server (4722) (INET and
UNIX)
- - - [14/October/1999:13:55:14 -0400] - - Accepting connections from
localhost|127\.0\.0\.1
192.168.1.2 - minivend [14/October/1999:13:56:01 -0400] _mv_admin /mv_admin
Runtime error: Could not open 'etc/session.lock': Permission denied

VENDROOT/etc/ is 'drwxr-xr-x' and is owned by minivend.minivend (user
minivend is running Minivend daemon), and there is no session.lock in it. If
I put session.lock in it (touch + chown minivend.minivend) it still doesn't
work.
Does anyone know which 'etc/session.lock' Minivend daemon is trying to open?
Thank you,
Otis
