I'd like to start by saying that I've never used MiniVend on NT before, so I am
probably wrong about everything I say below.

that's the hard part, right?  ;)

Are you using cookies?  I think this has something to do with session IDs.  Or
perhaps cookies has been disabled and you need it to be turned on?

in the catalog.cfg file their is a setting

this may be unrelated to your above problems.  This looks like the variable (or
it's NT equivelent)

has been somehow set to "none."  at least that's what I looks like to me.
