I am setting up a shopping mall with multiple catalogues.
The first pages, before selecting a catalogue, prompt for a language
and whether VAT is applicable.  Then the mall directory is shown and
finally the t/vlink program is called to start Minivend for that
catalogue.  At that point I need to pass the language and VAT yes/no so
that they can be set as scratch variables.  How can I achieve that?
