But I think I am not clear in my question.

I am using mv_matchlimit=25.

Assume that in a search result there are 1500 items matched.

1500/25=60

there are 60 links! That is too long, more than 3 line! Instead of giving 60
links at a time, can miniven be set as altavista, like

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 [Next>>]


ht/Dig also do the same. It don't give all the links once. If the user wants
to see more links then the rest will be displayed.

If you use the scan-tag...use ml=10, if you use the form, use this code

<input type=hidden      name=mv_matchlimit value="10">

, if you use ..etc/search.profile, add a line like mv_matchlimit=10. Go
to the doc and search for matchlimit.
