My $.02 :
I just noticed this same robot hitting our server on
about 10 different domains running under Minivend
at the same time (within minutes) and I can tell you
it was putting a pretty good load on the server with
all of the Hammered session locks so I blocked
their ip's (there were 2 that I found)
entirely from the server.
As best I could tell, their robot was messing up the
url which caused processes to keep running until
they timed out.
