Just a wild guess, but if you have an updated db read into MySQL on a
daily/weekly basis, why don't you export it weekly/daily into .gdbm, use
indexing and binary searches and static pages. At least that is fast.
But sorry, this is the way it was done in the old times with MV 3.8.
I guess nowadays it could all be done fast with sql searches.
Unfortunately I hadn't a chance yet to try it out. Let us know
