[mv] alpha10 fails to install on FreeBSD 3.1

Hello,

 I'm trying to install minivend alpha 10 on FreeBSD 3.1 and it appears
to be hanging. 

When I run "make test", it gets to this point and hangs:

/usr/src/minivend-4.0alpha10/blib/session:
not ok 2
link/unixmode.........
</log>

I waited over 20 minutes and nothing appeared to be happening. 
However, using 'top' and 'ps', it appears that is using maximum CPU
power to do _something_

Any ideas on what's happening here?
