[mv] Enabled static pages, then disabled them, but links still pointing to static pages?

Hello,

I thought this might be a caching problem, but...

I was experimenting with static pages, which went OK. But I changed
catalog.cfg back to its earlier state (no static pages), deleted the
.static file in the pages directory, and ran expire on the catalog.
Still, when I bring the catalog back up the links on my main page which
I had "made" static are STILL pointing to static entries. What did
I miss? I'd like to reset things to be purely dynamic again.
