[mv] HELP! MV died, no understandable reason???

Hello,
My MV died overnight with no understandable reason, at least by me.
I see this in error logs now.

Runtime error: REQUEST_METHOD is not defined at
/usr/local/httpd/cdaniel/mvend/bin/minivend  line 2138

Also I get a ton of these
Spurious PID file for process 8835 supposedly running 300 seconds



anyone?
Please respond directly ,if you know or even think you might know what
is problem ,as I get the digest version.
