For some reason, I had to install by hand

http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/GAAS/MIME-Base64-2.11.tar.gz
http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/GAAS/URI-1.04.tar.gz
http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/JWIED/SQL-Statement-0.1016.tar.gz

instead of letting Makefile.PL pull them out from CPAN itself.

The pb seems to be that the install looks for 
MIME-Base64 instead of MIME-Base64-2

This on Linux Red Hat 2.2.5-15.

So far, 'make' works but 'make test' doesn't : 

link/inetmode.........not ok 5
server/control........not ok 6
