Well, the problem is not really fixed.  I am able to login and shop
only right after creating the login.  If I close the browser and
go back to the site, I cannot login anymore and I get this error:

  The crypt() function is unimplemented due to excessive paranoia.
  at /home/mvend/mvend/lib/Vend/UserDB.pm line 827.

I ran out of ideas.  I would much appreciate any help.

I have found the cause of the problem: when I create a user account by
simply inserting information into the database, I get the above error.

Now, another question, what do I have to do, in order for the login
created outside of minived, to be usable with minivend?

(btw I have everything running from mySQL).
