[mv] I just cant get the sorting in search working

Hello.
I'm trying to configure the one click searches (ie the basic search
links in the index page (file leftside)).
And I just cant get the mv_sort_field option working.
I'm using following tag to implement the searches
<TR><TD VALIGN=top [var TABLEFG] ALIGN=right width=100%>
<A HREF="[area scan/df=yes/tf=title/di=category/ml=15/dl=HARD-DRIVES]">
<FONT SIZE=2 FACE=ARIAL,HELVETICA style="text-decoration:

And if I have understood correctly the TF field should cause the results to
be sorted
by the field title (field containing the item name displayed in the results).
But when I try this search, I get the results in an unordered fashion,
ie even as the results should be ordered by their title, I see not ordering.

I', using
Minivend 3.14-5
Redhat 6.1
Perl 5.005_03
products.asc based catalog (ie. I havent implemented SQL on my catalog yet)
I'd appreciate any hints what I am doing wrong.
