I would never remove PostGres support itself -- just the demo support.
MiniVend will always support DBI.

Already I have run into several cases where PostGres dies with SQL that
works on MySQL and Sybase and that is supposedly ANSI SQL/92 (though
I know that is not a very well adhered-to standard). I cannot afford
to bring on those questions by inviting people to use PostGres. If I
include a pgsql/ directory that is sort of an endorsement. As I continue
trying PostGres, I am beginning to think I can't afford to do that.

Please understand I am not knocking PostGres itself; I understand it has
many things it does very well and it is certainly an extremely admirable
free software effort. I certainly respect anything that is more ambitious
and complex than than MiniVend! I am just saying that *I* cannot afford
to support it. I have my hands full with MiniVend and DBI. I have already
stated to several other people reporting problems with other SQL databases
(ADABAS and Oracle among others) that I cannot afford to tailor MiniVend
to certain SQLs. There are too many of them and they change too fast.
