Hi Erri,

I haven't install mvend in solaris but, i guess, it should be not so
different with other platforms.

First, read ANY documentation that came with the package. README and
INSTALL is a must if you're a new comer. Mvend should offer you to create
the simple catalog in installation routine, accept this and play from there.

You should also know your playing ground very well. That includes
permission you have, your directory tree, where other needed program
reside, etc.
If you are in virtual server, some ISP only allow you to execute cgi if you
put .cgi extension behind it.
Mvend generally isn't installed in top level directory ( /mvend/... ) but
goes under user directory as it should not be run by root.

If you got problem, check mvend's error log first to find out what's wrong,
and then read the docs (again), or browse mvend milist archieves. many
installation problem answered years ago. ;-)

Lastly, you should describe your problem more detail, what you've done,
what error log said.
some people here aren't psychics, you know. ;-)
