[mv] Search value as an argument

I am implementing a search page that needs to put the value of what is
submitted in the URL as an argument.  I thought you would use a hidden input
tag and the mv_arg like so:

<INPUT type="hidden" name="mv_arg" value="">

The value part is what I am stumped on.  I might be using the wrong syntax,
though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
