I think we are getting here off topic, but i will have to say another
comment on
your things julie...:

I think Microsoft didnt gave a Telnet option in Windows NT Version 4.0,
becouse
this is quite a early stage of the Servers Story at microsoft..., They know
to build
a competetive products... They dont know a thing about servers..., i am a
alpha &
beta test, and i see the document i receive from there, such as "What do you
feel that
is missing in Windows NT 4.0 ?" since most of pepole sayed that the basic
telnet access
is missing... you can have it in Windows 2000 Advanced Server....

Its pitty the build the product that way..., There was lots of talking about
a massive
perl interpreter inside Windows 2000..., But the dont want to damage ASP and
the
cost of building such thing is not effective.

That's what makes Linux the best... the GNU...., couse there... if someone
have needs
he makes and spread it to the whole world..., I Bet with you that if Bill
Gates will stand
for his word and make Windows Sources & Technologys as a GNU... you will see
that
this opreating system will advance in one year more than the entire
development years
that microsoft did...

As for security..., Microsoft & Security and not going togther..., I was
recently in a Microsoft
course about the new Windows 2000 Disk Encryption & Security..., They talked
with us
2 days about how its safe now..., A smart guy from the class, succed in
building a decryption
mechanisim, in the middle of the second day... And i personally know 2
hidden accounts in
windows 2000 that gives you Admin access (That's the plus being alpha tester
besides installing
the software 10 times a day).... So even in this... Linux is the best...

But still... when i first knew minivend..., it took me 1 hours making it
work in Windows NT
and about 2 days till it worked perfectly in Linux...., That becouse of lake
of knowledge...
Today if i do the compare.... both are same speed installation... While if
you put an effort
in installtion program & the makecat you can make great thing with
Windows.... and the
combination of Minivend & ActiveState Perl 5.6 (still beta) & Windows 2000
DataCenter
Server is giving Maximum performance & easy to manage solution for
E-commerce system
i ever seen... (i still have lots of homework to do to make it running
smooth.... and still have
to find a solution for NT security... but in one of the days... it will be a
perfect solution....,
and then Bill might buy Internet Robotics.... to say "We have developed a
total solution
for E-commerce"... Like he did in any other products he sells....)

No need to say sorry Julie ;)  I was just quoting the Minivend FAQ but
you're right, I forgot to include that if you can get an NT host to give you
Telnet then you should be able to do it although there is other things that
NT handles differently.  Anyone know why Unix hosts give Telnet so readily
while NT hosts feel it's a security issue?

Gabriel,

Altought all other ideas here are against what i will say here...:
Installing Minivend on Windows NT/2000 is quite easy,
no need to be cgi wizard (sorry julie)...
