You can compile the vlink or tlink programs. I think it is documented at
the end of the docs (it used to in MV3.x, anyway) or you can simply
create any "test" catalog with makecat and then rename the thus in the
cgi-bin created "test" (= vlink/tlink) program to your old catalogs name
and then delete the test catalog. Its not very elegant, but it works.
