I'm trying to sell Minivend to my boss as a good solution to an arcane NT commerce solution we use. I'd like some input on Minivend's scaleability.
Just as a gauge, I'd like to get a feel for the number of orders a Minivend system can process in a day. Obviously this would depend greatly on the hardware used. But let's say for a reference system of a mid-level PIII, Linux system running a MySQL back end.
Can anyone give me any real hard facts, or pointers to real hard facts on the number of orders that Minivend can process? Anyone done any benchmarks?
What about modifications to a stock Minivend install to increase speed? What are good things to do to increase the speed of order processing.
I'd appreciate any input anyone can give.
