Right. I've realized that and recently completed coded a custom search
engine using with Perl/SQL knowing that I could pass the session id and
product ids around as needed back into minivend.
However, some of what I did duplicated minivend's functionality the
[more list] and some it's other nice features of handling search results
pages. So what I think would be really slick would be develop a custom
sql based search (a real one, not the
text-based-search-with-a-sql-like-syntax :) And then be able to use
minivend's slick results display system. I think the syntax I'm looking
for would be something like
[search-region sql=$foo] [/search-region]
where $foo is some custom SQL passed in. It seems perfectly reseasonable
to me, but there may be something I'm missing. :)
I understand [more-list] is supposed to work within [query], maybe some
other results tags work as well. I'm waiting for the docs to catch up
with the nice upgrade. :)
I'm interested in further discussion on this topic.
