[mv] mysql and MV 4.0.0.1 error

hi,
I installed MV with the mysql database. as trying to run the shop I get
following error:
Low traffic settings.
Calling MiniMate....
MiniVend V4.01
Configuring catalog simple...
Using MySQL for databases, DSN=dbi:mysql:test_minivend.
simple config error: Undefined subroutine &Vend::Table::DBI::create called
at /usr/local/minivend/lib/Vend/Table/Common.pm line 791, <IN> chunk 1.
simple: error in configuration. Skipping.

Any hints? probably some error connection to mysql
