[mv] perllocal.pod error...any ideas???
****** message to minivend-users from Kevsurf <kevsurf@yahoo.com> ******
Hello,
I have Minivend 4.02 installed on a Unix server but
when I access catalogs that I have created I get a 500
Internal Server error. That makes me think that the
path to Perl is incorrect, but I don't know where to
change it.
Then I decided to reinstall MV and when I did make
install I got the following error:
## Differing version of ./perllocal.pod found. You
might like to
rm
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-bsdos/perllocal.pod
## Running 'make install UNINST=1' will unlink this
file for you.
Appending installation info to
/mnt/web/guide/dddweb/mvend/perllocal.pod
/usr/local/bin/perl Makefile.PL force
final=/mnt/web/guide/dddweb/mvend
Unfortunately, I don't have root access and I can't
unlink the file.
I do know that the path to Perl is incorrect. The
program keeps referencing /usr/local/bin/perl, but
when I type 'whereis perl' I get /usr/bin/perl.
Is there anyway around this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kevin
