[mv] Multiple Products on One page....

I wish to have multiple products on One page,
while they are not formatted as a list...
I.E. i wish to display 9 products like :
X X X
X X X
X X X
One option i thought of , was Adding the Line break after every 3 products,
but what i am actually looking for , is how to display more than one
products at a time within the [serach-list] ??
Can i display [item-A] [item-A+1] [item-A+2] etc... ????
