[mv] Search and Forms
****** message to minivend-users from Chris Rapier <rapier@psc.edu> ******
I have a search page which allows the user to sort the results by
different fields. For example they can sort by Price, Name, or Model
using checkboxes.
Now, if I do not specify mv_sort_option=n then when you sort by prices
you have the typical problem where '126' will come before '2'. If I do
have mv_sort_option=n then when I sort by Name or Model - both of which
are alphabetic - they won't sort properly at all.
The obvious solution to somehow tie the mv_sort_option value to the
value of Price. Is there anyway native to minivend to do this or should
I insert some perl code to do this? Will perl handle this or will I need
to use some javascript to do it?
And uh.. being that I've never used javascript before if anyone could
point to a good reference I'd appreciate that.
