My understanding was that you had clipped text from the documentation
and were going on that. You are correct, that is misleading, and I have
changed it, but it was not an example and you jumped several leaps.

The demo is *bristling* with [if session logged_in].

(rant not pointed at any one individual)

My problems with most of the people complaining about the documentation:

    1. Often there are complaints made without specific examples.
    2. Rarely do I get specific suggested fixes.

To some extent, you, the users, are responsible for Minivend and
its quality. If I had time to read and follow every nuance of every
comment, perhaps I coould do something with all of the comments that
are made. Unfortunately, I have bit off a large chunk with Minivend and
don't have that amount of time.

When I have put up invitations on the web site to comment on the
program and documentation, most people seem to use it as a forum to ask a
question, not make a suggestion. (This is true for any program, though. As
I look at some other program suggestion forums this is also the case.)

In other words, I believe your documentation of my problems with
documentation is simply awful. 8-) Of course there are exceptions;
see the outstanding job someone (Bill Randle) did the other day helping
me document the error tag.

If each user subscribing to the minivend-users mail list sent one example
with edited replacement text I would have 897 changes to make that would
improve the documentation. That would be a fair start.

Also, I am still looking for someone to send me an example of good
documentation for *a program with similar scope and a similar target
audience*. Someone suggested the PHP documentation, and it seems quite
good, but the target audience is quite different.

To summarize:

-- I am interested in making the docs better
-- I am working on it
	-- I do need help

Best Regards,
Mike
