[mv] mv_unique not working ?
****** message to minivend-users from "josh" <josh@paducahonline.com> ******
Here's my problem...I have a very large amount of "products" in multiple
tables (each table being a seperate 'category'), some products are in more
than one category(table) but are the same product, just a different sku
because it is listed in multiple categories/tables. Whenever I perform a
search on all the categories(tables), it will return all the products
matching the input that I specified, but...if it finds a product that is in
multiple categories it lists the product over and over because each instance
of it has a different sku number. Is there anyway to limit the results to a
different field other than sku? I can do this using "[item-change
1][condition][item-field stock][/condition]" but all that it does is not
print out the product on results page, but the results page still sees it as
a match because the more lists says "matches 1-50 of 200" but only like 20
will be printed on the page. From what I've seen in the docs, mv_unique will
solve my problem, but I can't get it to work, is there some kind of voodoo
magic I'm not doing or what?. I've tried using: mv_unique=true
mv_return_fields="0,stock" mv_sort_field=stock and still no luck. Keep in
mind that "stock" is dif than "sku" and this is using a form search. Help me
:-)
