[mv] Setting MV session ID from outside of Minivend.
****** message to minivend-users from Mark Stosberg <mark@summersault.com> ******
In reference to the below problem, I'm investigating the solution of
moving my front page outside of minivend space. However, since I'm using
other parts of minivend, it makes sense to continue to use the MV
session system. As such I would like to include the minivend logic of
"if there is no session id, set a new one". I assume there is a way to
do this from the command line, or by including the Minivend Perl Modules
and calling the routine directly.
I tried the command line route and that didn't work:
<snip>
music@secure dev>./market.cgi market-dev '[data products title 20]'
Status: 404 Not Found
Content-Type: text/plain
Undefined catalog: music@secure dev>
</snip>
I made sure there was an alias for "market-dev" in minivend.cfg before I
tried that.
Anyway, does anyone have examples or ideas about how to do this? I found
the new_session and init_session routines that seemed relevent, but it
looked like I might need some logic from the main minivend script that
wasn't bundled into subroutine...
Thanks!
