Yup, I've run into that problem (address already in use) -- but at this 
point I don't use INET mode for anything at all.  If UNIX mode is working, 
you should be able to surf your catalog from a browser perfectly.

The only workaround for an address already in use (that I know of) is to 
reboot the box.  :-)
