[mv] Setting mv-session_id from a remote site
****** message to minivend-users from "Peter Bingham" <Pete@pbingham.freeserve.co.uk> ******
Hi folks,
I recently built an interface with the WoldPay payment system under MV 3.14.
A submission page sends the mv_session_id the the payment server, which then
calls a URL http://ourdomain/vlink/basket-text? with the session id
appended, and contents of the shooing cart are returned in text format. The
payment server then displays the items to be ordered. Its all pretty neat. I
think I got this to work by setttng the TolerateGet directive. Of course I
also set the WideOpen directive.
However, on upgrading to MV 4.03, this no longer works, and the TolerateGet
directive has disappeared. The error.log file protests to an inappropriate
use of POST. If I change the URL to http://ourdomain/vlink?mv_session_id=
and have the session id appended, the payment server fails to pick up the
session and on basket contents are returned. I am sure that this is a result
of some tightening of minivend security, but I need to work around this for
my particular application.
Does anyone know how to pick up the session from a remote server? Maybe
additional information is needed in the URL, or maybe I have to somehow
reintroduce the Tolerate Get directive? Help would be appreciated. If I can
get this to work I am happy to share my efforts in integrating minivend to
WorldPay.
Thanks in advance
Peter Bingham
