Ok I was a bit unclear but it was very late. I'll try again. My 
pricing.asc looks like

code    q2      q5      q6      q10     q12     q25     q100
D-1     3.40    3.40    3       3       2.90    2.90    2.90
FR-1    23.56   23.56   23.56   20      20      20      20            

Normal quantity pricing works OK. In the basket and in other pages I 
would like code like 

[if data pricing::code::D-1]
<BR>[page quantity [item-code]]
<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR=RED>QUANTITY PRICING
</FONT></A>
[/if]		    

Does it make sense? It does not work anyway. Of course I would 
substitute D-1 for [item-code]. In a nutshell, if there are quantity 
pricing available for an item, display the link to quantity.html.

An other problem regarding quantity pricing. I have read various 
schemes in the mailing list about adding and subtracting from the 
quantity field in the basket. In my humble opinion the logical way is 
thus:
Customer buys 3 cans of beer. He finds out that he can get 6 cans for 
the price of 4. So he clicks on 6 in quantity pricing.html. Then he 
should end up with 6 cans of beer in the basket. Not 3 or 9. 

Ie I would like to REPLACE the quantity in the basket with the new 
quantity. Can it be done??? HOW???
