Delete the old file and use only _one_ file for each UserTag.
You have an UserTag [db_date] in the file db_date _and_ în the file
db_date.old too. MV read the db_file, see an Usertag db_date and make
this as an Usertag [db_date]. After that, MV read the next file
db_date.old, see the UserTag _again_ and spotted a new other definition
of PosNumber in line 8.

For example:
You make a new UserTag like [HelloWorld] and store this as a file
usertag/HelloWorld. Anytime you use your emacs again and you are editing
this file again to get a new messages like "Hello Minivend World!".
Emacs make a backup of this file like "HelloWorld~". After every
restart of the MV server. I get still/always trouble with my UserTag, if
all the "xyz~" files are still there and all my changes has no effect. I
still get "Hello World!" instead of "Hello Minivend World!", because MV
read the file "HelloWorld" first and then "HelloWorld~". Do you
understand me, what i mean?

I hope, this can helps you!

Regards,

	Joachim
