[mv] ProductFiles <multiple>
****** message to minivend-users from Dave Barr <barrd@cricket.org> ******
Hi all, [Debian 2.2 <=> MV 4.04]
I have a question about the ProductFiles directive. To start though I
should explain what I am trying to achieve.
I have a master cart (ci) which will eventually contain a large
number of SubCatalogs, these subcats will share the majority of
information from the master cart. The only 'major' difference will be
the products database. I have at present only implemented 1
subcatalog (test) and have pointed its config file at its appropriate
products database (testproducts=>testproducts.txt). So far so good,
the master cart reads its db and the subcat reads its db... but...
and here is were I get stuck, I now want the master cart to
read/access 'both' these product db files (and any other future
subcat products db additions).
According to the docs this is simple via the ProductFiles directive
which I applied in the master carts config file (catalog.cfg):
ProductFiles products testproducts
I have tried (again in the catalog.cfg):
[snip]
Database products products.txt TAB
Database testproducts testproducts.txt TAB
[/snip]
and
[snip]
Database products products.txt TAB
Database testproducts testproducts.txt 1
[/snip]
Both return the following error after a restart of the MVend Daemon:
[snip]
ci config error: Can't call method "new" on an undefined value at
/usr/local/minivend/lib/Vend/Data.pm line 557.
[/snip]
This is from the subroutine "tie_database" in Data.pm, after a quick
scan, nothing obvious seems untoward -- (well, to me at least ;-)
The test SubCatalog configured correctly.
Am I doing something REALLY obviously stupid?
Any help, or comments are as always much appreciated.
Regards -- Dave
