  Where is a stable place to retrieve the cookie from? Not the minivend
cookie, but a cookie of my own creation. Safe is not an issue here. I tried
using $CGI::cookie, but that isn't set the first time you come into MV. It
is only set after the mv cookie is in play. I used to use
$::http()->{Cookie}
but this has disappeared too. Should I use $::http()->{env}{HTTP_COOKIE}
or is there something better?

I use a javascript to set/retreive cookie... you can check html source on my
site : (I use a lot of javascript for cascading menu, dhtml, etc...)
