It sets all catalog directory to rwxrws---, I've set the minivend server runing as user "minivend" and group "minivend" which is equivalent to superuser but still don't work. Any help is appreciated.

Did you check the owner of the v/tlink files in ../cgi-bin ? I use
FreeBSD and i donīt need any permission change in all catalogs. Only
the files of all v/tlink in each .../cgi-bin of the catalogs. In my
case, I solve it with chwon minivenduser:minivendgroup
...../cgi-bin/vtlink-or-tlink. If you have a successful running simple
demo shop, look at the v/tlink of the demo shop.

I hope, this can helps you a little bit.
