[mv] Main <=> SubCatalog sharing databases question
****** message to minivend-users from Dave Barr <barrd@cricket.org> ******
Hi all, [debian 2.2 / MV 4.04]
~~I was wondering if someone could give me a yes/no answer to the following:
I have a 'Main' cart, it has its own products database, I have
attached for present one SubCatalog, it too has its own products
database.
I then used the ProductsFile directive in the 'Main' carts
<catalog.cfg> to point at the 'Main' carts product file and the
SubCatalogs products file.
It works...but, and here is the question, is it correct that the
SubCatalogs products should show up twice on a search/loop query? (it
is read in from its own database and from the mastercarts directive
pointing back at its database .... I assume?!?....)
All I need is a quick yes/no so that I may scrap this "approach" to
what I am trying to achieve.... ;-)
Any help much appreciated
Dave
